peace at last. temporarily, i'm in a room all to my own and it's absolutely fabulous. i could stay here all semester, but apparently... singles start to get lonely after awhile.. i could say that today was a tiresome day after 5.5 hours of shopping, but i don't want to sound like i'm complaining because shopping never felt so good. i basically woke up and lay in solitude for 2 hours searching random webpages, made some breakfast, shopped, and then came home and watched TV/played teenage mutant ninja turtles with fallon. and during those long 5.5 hours, i couldn't be more happy than to spend money... i knew it was bottled up somewhere inside of me and i just needed to swipe swipe swipe... i even opened up my first very own credit card at neiman marcus because they don't take visa.. i mean... WHO DOESN'T TAKE VISA! anyways.. it could be potentially be very dangerous to have a card at a very fine store such as saks or neiman's, but it'll look good in my new prada wallet when i get it! anyways so what i bought:
1. black ugg bag/muff: versatile, practical and adorably cute. i've always wanted a muff and i have black earmuffs to match!
2. citizen jeans which are currently getting tailored..hmm... trying on jeans today.. a very depressing experience since my unfortunate weight gain
3. stuart weitzman tall leather boots. me likey!
4. chrisitan dior pink bow choker! uber cute and does not resemble dog collar such as joyce says
still on the look out for high-powered black stilettos with some sort of metal somewhere on them.... hotness...
on another note: i met a reality TV show celebrity today! non-other than invana from the apprentice! such a fun experience. and as i look back on it, so ironic considering that i didn't like her because i felt like they could've chosen a better token asian character.. but anyways, i was in neiman's and i see her walking around.. i kind of stalk around to see if it is actually her, then i follow her to karen millen's and meanwhile call up my 2 shopping pals: joyce and lee to come and join me. i finally walk into the store and at this point i'm thinking.. should i approach her? should i not? so I DO! and we're strking up a conversation that goes something like this:
"OMG YOU'RE FROM THE APPRENTICE! I LOVE YOU!! OMG!!" jk... i wasn't quite as tacky as that.. at least i hope. it went more like this:
"excuse me, i'm so sorry to bother you, people must come to you all the time, but were you on the apprentice?" it was such a classic line from a TV show or a movie! and the minute i opened my mouth, i could just tell that she knew what i was going to say and she smiled back and complimented me on my pink coat.. and was such a NICE person! not at all high on herself in anyway because she was a reality TV show star or an uber successful business woman... so anyways... i don't really know what to really say to her at this point and we're talking about the show, my 2 grlfriends come along and being as subtle as they are,
they're like: "hey jenny"
me: "hey guys"
pause and stares
joyce: "so did you get my pants tailored"
me: "uhh yea"
them: "are you from the apprentic"
ivana: "yes i am" (smiling)
us: "we love the show"
joyce: "can i see your wedding ring" (IT WAS STUNNING! you could see it from across the room!)
so it went something along that, then we chat for a bit about the show, about her fiancee and the wedding and then she starts giving us career advice! she was just absolutely so sweet! anyways.. how fun!
